RULES

The WV Enduro Series brings Enduro mountain bike racing to the best trails in the state of WV. Enduro racing allows racers to pedal out to the stages with other racers and then lay down their best effort on timed stages that are added together for a race time.

  1. Race Categories - Your race age is how old you will be on December 31st.

  2. Registration - Please register with the SAME name for every race, The points system is automatic but only works if you match!

  3. No sandbagging - If you register in other enduro/DH series as Cat 1/Pro/Expert please do not be signing up under sport class. Everyone is here to have fun.

  4. You will be given one number(race) plate for the whole series. If you lose this a replacement will be a $10 fee.

  5. Race plates are not mandatory. However, if you don’t have your race plate on your bike the photographers will not be taking photos as you are not classifying yourself as a “racer”.

  6. Race Day Rules

    1. Helmets are required (Full face is recommended)

    2. Must finish on the same frame (Wheels, Drivetrain, etc. are fair game)

    3. No course cutting!!!! The stages will be marked and taped in some areas, where there is no course tape it is assumed that the actual trail is the course and you should stay on it! Please stay on the trail! If you are caught cutting the course you will be disqualified.

    4. One attempt per stage! (only for injured racer in the trail, this will be decided by the race director)

    5. Give the rider in front of you a minimum of 30 seconds. If you catch that rider please yell “RIDER BACK”. This will allow them to get off the trail safely for you to go around.

    6. No littering on the trails. If you pack a snack with you on the trails please pack the wrapper out with you.

    7. Podiums will be held 30 minutes after the Cut-off time. If you don’t make the cut-off time this will result in a DNF. (Our cut off times are very generous. Just don’t be goofing off in between stages)

    8. Last but no least. HAVE FUN! We are all out there to have fun. If you see someone struggling try and give them some encouragement. It can go a long way.

  7. Series overall

    1. 20 points for the win

    2. Subtract 1 point for everyplace behind 1st. (Minimum of 1 point for 20th place and lower)

    3. Top 4 results plus Winterplace (Championship race)

    4. Must be at Championship Race to secure your series points. If you are not at Championship race none of your points will count.
